Asphalin B tablets generate a germicidal formaldehyde atmosphere in closed containers through contact with air humidity. This process takes place after 6 hours without organic contamination. This effectively protects packaged, sterile instruments from renewed, premature contamination.

Asphalin B tablets are used to ensure the sterility of instruments that have already been processed and packaged. In tightly sealed containers, humidity creates a formaldehyde-containing, germicidal atmosphere that prevents recontamination during storage.
Place packaged, sterile instruments in a suitable, tightly sealed tray or container in which the tablet has been working for at least 6 hours. We recommend Becht Asphalin trays REF 700 and 633 for this purpose. Store the container tightly sealed at 18–50 °C and only open it to remove items. Increased humidity (> 50%) enhances the effect. Replace the tablet after 14 days.

When using Asphalin B tablets, it is recommended to wear suitable protective clothing/protective gloves/eye protection/face protection and to avoid inhaling vapours.
Wash hands thoroughly after use.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Call a doctor immediately. If you feel unwell: Call a POISON INFORMATION CENTRE or doctor immediately.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with plenty of water/shower.
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a doctor.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTRE or doctor/physician. If skin irritation, rash or persistent eye irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
If exposed or if affected: Seek medical advice/attention.
The batch number (LOT) should be stated in any procedure requiring identification of the product.
Keep locked up and out of the reach of children.
For use by qualified personnel only.
Not suitable for non-sterile instruments.
Do not use if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients.
