As a medium-sized family company in the third generation, we develop and produce German medical products with our seal of approval "German Medical Quality" in the product areas of hygiene, disinfection & cleaning, prophylaxis, endodontics, OPAL clear glass and articulation paper. Our products improve the everyday work of physicians and their immediate medical environment. But they also create a hygienic living and working space for users in almost all industries worldwide.
As a certified German manufacturer, we stand for the highest quality, reliability and safety and effectiveness of our products. We have been developing these in our company since 1923 in close cooperation with leading physicians from all over the world and manufacturing them ourselves in our own production facilities. The application-oriented solution competence, the comprehensive and regulatory know-how meet people with the claim and drive to provide the best products made in Germany for everyday medical work.
We use this product-related knowledge, research competence and regulatory experience from more than one hundred years of medical device manufacture primarily for our own quality products. However, as an OEM manufacturer, we also make them available to our partners in the same quality. This enables you to bring safe products to market quickly because we can support you from the initial idea to the final product for global registration and approval.

The start is clear for the new high-performance concentrate Bechtol Premium for instrument disinfection.

The first batches of the Becht root canal sealer Perma Evolution are filled and delivered.

The development of disinfectants and cleaning agents is so successful that a new, ultra-modern production and storage hall is built.

Our products are certified according to ISO 13485: an ISO standard that represents the requirements for a comprehensive quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices.
1998
Better safe than sorry: Becht is now certified – according to ISO 9002/46002 and Directive 93/42/EG.
1995
An important milestone in practice hygiene: Becht presents the Medi dispenser.
1995
On the first of January, the third generation goes to work: Ulrich A. Becht takes over the company.
1989
The company headquarters is becoming too small. Alfred Becht GmbH moves into a new company building on Carl-Zeiss-Strasse, conveniently located just outside the city gates.
1987
The Alfred Becht partnership becomes a GmbH.
1973
We start the fully automatic production of paper points for endodontics.
1965
A classic for generations of dentists: Rollofix, the glass container for the hygienic storage of cotton rolls.
1959
The company grows and prospers. And it moves into a new company building in Luisenstrasse, Offenburg.
1955
In the second generation, the son Hans F. Becht succeeds the founding father.
1954
The Black Forest is right next door. Therefore, from now on, a stylised fir tree will make the company logo unmistakable.
1950
Becht produces the first cleaning and disinfecting agents: Bechtol and Carborundol.
1937
A success story begins: The "burr steriliser" makes work in the practice more hygienic and safer.
1935
Order and cleanliness in practice: The first dappen dishes are delivered.
1926
The first industrial property rights are registered with the Reich Patent Office for the Becht brand opal glass products.
1923
Alfred Becht founds a dental factory under his name in Offenburg.
