Aid for full-surface occlusal analysis when checking dental restorations (e.g. crowns, fillings) and dentures or for identifying occlusal interferences in cases of bruxism. Thanks to its characteristic shape, the pre-cut horseshoe-shaped articulating paper can be easily inserted into the mouth. This makes it easier to check the bite of the entire dental arch in the upper and lower jaw at the same time, especially in patients who bite on one side during occlusion testing. The paper thickness of 80 µ is ideal for visualizing the distribution of masticatory pressure during rough and medium adjustments. The thin, yet tear-resistant material reduces the risk of smeared or distorted contact markings and ensures uniform, load-dependent color reproduction - even on moist surfaces.

The articulating paper is supplied in completely plastic-free packaging.

Use case

The Becht pro medix articulating paper in horseshoe shape is used for diagnostic control of occlusal contact conditions in dentistry. It is used to visualize the distribution of masticatory pressure in the dentition, to identify contact points in static and dynamic occlusion and to check the accuracy of fit of dental restorations (e.g. crowns, bridges, inlays, dentures). It also supports the localization of occlusal interferences - for example in functional disorders such as bruxism.

Application

The horseshoe-shaped articulating paper is placed in the oral cavity - between the upper and lower jaw. The patient closes the jaw while applying light chewing pressure. The paper transfers contacts to the tooth surfaces by means of colored markings. After opening the jaw, the paper is removed. The colored markings on the teeth show exactly the contact points and the strength of the masticatory pressure distribution. This allows occlusal disorders to be identified and corrected in a targeted manner - for example, when checking restorations or analyzing functional anomalies such as bruxism.
